How to join Indian Navy as an Officer after 12th Science

A. Executive officer posts after 12th science


Their are several post under the executive officer. All post are logistics officer, general service officer, information technology officer, law officer, submarine officer, diving officer, pilot officer, provost officer, hydro graphic officer and naval armament inspection officer.

All candidates who done their 12th class with science they can apply for these post in Indian navy. Their are two ways to selected for the executive post. One is NDA and another way is Indian naval academy. Both exam are conducted by the upsc board.

B. Engineering officer posts after 12th science


Submarine engineer officer, engineering general service officer and naval construction officer are the post comes under the engineering officer post.  How To Join Indian Navy After 12th Science / Commerce 2019


Candidates can join Indian Navy according their qualification. All candidates who want to Join Indian Navy as a officer then they need to clear the entrance exams that is conducted by the UPSC board. Medical test:

The candidates declared temporally unfit have a limited time of 21 days  where they can appeal for the special review from any military medical section with a considerable fee. However after the deadline is over the candidate shall no further be allowed to join the medical test. The result or the merit list shall be published or listed on the same day or according to the SSB.

Final screening ( selection of candidates from through the country)
this phase of selection is an important phase as the candidates from all over the country is informed to be present for the next phase of enrollment on a informed date and time and the place.

The candidates are then selected on the basis of their performance during the different tests conducted by the SSB.

Final enrollment:- 

All candidate who have been enrolled for the  final test shall be issued with the admit card for their final medical test that is to be held in odisha on the date and time decided by the ssb.
The enrolled candidate shall be present on the exact date as mentioned or informed or his/her enrollment shall be cancelled.

2).Observer:- Individuals should possess -BE.B Tech Degree in any discipline with Physics and Maths in 12th as compulsory.

3).Education:- BE.B Tech Degree in any discipline with Physics and Maths in 12th as compulsory subjects/2nd class Masters Degree form any recognized university in Physics, Maths, Chemistry, English, Mechanical Engg, Electrical Engg, Engg. Computer Science/Technology, Post Graduate in Humanities/Arts(Economics or History or Political Science).

4).Logistic/Works:- This branch is divided into three major units which require diverse educational qualification as follows:-
  • Logistic Cadre:- BE/B.Tech with 1st division/MBA/Bsc./B.Com/Bsc.IT(1st Class)/Pg Diploma in Finance/Logistics/Supply chain Management/Material Management/MCA/MSc.IT(1st class).
  • For Work:-BE/B.Tech(Civil)B architect.
  • For Catering :-MSc.(HM)/MBA(HM)?BSc/Ba(1st class)/PG Diploma in Hotel Management(HM).

5).Law:- Individuals must be a Law student with a Law Degree for their enrollment as advocates under the Advocate Act 1961.

6).ATC:- Individuals must have a BE/B.Tech Degree in any discipline with the subjects of Physics and Maths as compulsory subjects in 12th standard during academic year from any educational board.

Although the physical standards are required according to the requirements that have been prescribed for the individuals for their eligibility,but there are certain special relaxation that have been offered to the candidates under various category or class depending upon the origin of the individuals and age.
So to provide the entire physical requirements for the individuals we have provided the full chart that comprises the entire physical requirements under Height,Weight and Chest below.

Physical Requirements for Female/Girls:- However for the female/women candidates the physical requirements are required under the physical standards of the following :-

  • Height:- Minimum of 152 cm or if the candidates possess more than the minimum  required height will only benefit the individual.
  • Weight:- Female/Women candidates must weigh between 60 kg to 75 kg.
  • Eye Sight/Vision:- The individuals must have a good eye sight or vision ability with 6/6 in terms of both eyes.

The candidates to ensure their eligibility and to be declared as eligible candidates for the selection process will have to qualify under each of the above mentioned eligibility criteria with the requirements that have been set for the selection of new batch of cadets.
