1. Physical Test /PFT:- 

The physical test or the physical fitness test is generally based upon the physical fitness of the candidates and the test is comprised of physical task that is to be completed by the candidates to ensure their selection through this test.

The candidates will be given the physical task and the time allotted for the particular task will determine the marks that will be given to the candidates based on their performance,however the candidates cannot exceed the time limit and the task should be completed in a proper manner.The physical task are as follows:-

  1. Running:- The candidate will need to cover a distance of 1.6 km within the time of 5 minutes 30 seconds to 5 minutes 45 seconds. 
  2. Pull-Ups:- 10 pull ups are necessary for the candidates to get the perfect score,lesser pull ups will fetch lesser marks for the cadets.
  3. Zig Zag Balancing:- Balancing on wooden stands ,climbing on ropes must be completed by the cadets however it does not carry any marks.
  4. 9 feet ditch:- Candidates must clear this stage which is the based on jumping strength of the cadets but does not carry marks.

The candidates will be required to have the physical standards are per the prescribed criteria under the physical standards which are as follows:-
  • Height:- Minimum height of 160 cm.
  • Weight:- Minimum Weight of 50 kg.
  • Chest:- Minimum 77 cm to 82 cm with 5 cm expansion.

2. Medical Test:- 

The medical test will be conducted under the strict supervision of the specialists of the Military Medical Corps based on the medical criteria that are prescribed for the selection of the candidates.

Each candidates are required to be medically fit so that the candidates will be able to clear this phase of the selection test and if candidate is found to be medically unfit in a permanent basis will be rejected for the further selection,but in case a candidate is declared to be temporarily unfit then the candidates can take a special review form any of specialist from the Medical Corps of the Army and the report is to be produced within the span of 20 days.
